We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured we’re working to keep everyone safe.

Whilst conducting proactive patrols in the Sandilands area, officers from the Park Hill & Whitgift Safer Neighbourhood Team stopped a vehicle after identifying potential traffic offences.

Checks revealed that the driver was not driving in accordance with their licence and was not covered by valid insurance. Appropriate enforcement action was taken and the vehicle was seized.

Driving without insurance is a serious offence that places all road users at risk and can have significant financial consequences for victims in the event of a collision. It is also important that learner drivers comply with all licence conditions, including displaying L plates and being appropriately supervised and insured.

Your local officers will continue carrying out proactive patrols and vehicle checks across the ward to improve road safety and tackle offending.
